Four times faster than a traditional smoker, with preheating that takes just 0.2 seconds — that’s the promise of the Cozytime Lumo, an AI‑powered infrared cooker designed to bring authentic grilled flavor indoors.

The device is compact, measuring 374 x 308 x 176.5 mm and weighing 6.5 kg, yet it can handle two steaks, six sausages, or even a 7‑inch pizza in one go. That capacity makes it suitable for couples or small gatherings, though less ideal for larger parties. What sets it apart is its double‑sided infrared heating system, which directs heat evenly across the food, preventing burnt edges or dried centers. Infrared cooking works by emitting radiant energy that penetrates food directly, unlike conventional ovens that rely on hot air. This method not only speeds up cooking but also locks in moisture, producing results closer to outdoor grilling.

Durability is another selling point. Infrared elements typically degrade over time, but Cozytime guarantees 12,000 hours of use — equivalent to more than 16 years if used two hours daily. That assurance is critical for a device positioned at a premium price point, with Kickstarter pledges starting at $329 and a planned retail price of $499.

The standout feature is AI CookPilot. A built‑in scanner recognizes up to 40 types of food, analyzing size, thickness, and weight to automatically select the best cooking program. This eliminates guesswork and ensures consistency. The Lumo App, available on iOS and Android, extends control further, allowing users to adjust temperature and time remotely, monitor progress, and access a recipe library. Custom recipes can also be added manually, making the system flexible for different cooking styles.

At the core of the device is the TriForma StateShift System, which allows the grill to shift between three distinct modes. Indoor Smoker Mode seals the chamber, operating at up to 230 °C, and can be paired with a Flavor Module that burns small amounts of wood chips or pellets to infuse smoky flavor. Fast Grill Mode raises the temperature to 270 °C with a semi‑open lid, ideal for steaks, ribs, and skewers, concentrating heat for speed while keeping meat juicy. Flat Grill Mode, fully open at 250 °C, is designed for vegetables, fondue, or quick shareable dishes, making it versatile for dinner parties.

Cleaning, often the least enjoyable part of grilling, has been simplified. Food only touches stainless steel grates and grease trays, both removable and dishwasher‑safe. Other surfaces require little more than a wipe, reducing maintenance to a minimum.

Shipping is scheduled to begin in July if the Kickstarter campaign succeeds. For those living in apartments or small homes, the Cozytime Lumo offers a way to enjoy steakhouse‑style flavor without smoke alarms or bulky outdoor equipment. It’s a device that blends speed, precision, and convenience, and its AI‑driven automation hints at how cooking technology may evolve — where grills don’t just heat food, but actively understand it.
